Setting Up Your Profile
Before we listen or upload our first music in SoundCloud, let us spend some time fine tuning our profile. This is important because everyone will click on our profile picture or image to understand who we are. If we are not maintaining all the required information here, they are likely to ignore our profile or sounds. As your profile is a new one, SoundCloud allows you full 120 minutes of sounds. As you upload more and more sounds, this number will shrink. When you reach 0 minute, consider upgrading to a SoundCloud Pro account. When uploading the files, you have two choices:
- Uploading existing files (Means, already recorded files available in your computer, SoundCloud supports almost all popular music formats such as MP3, WAV, FLAC, AIFF, AAC, WMA & more!)
- Recording a new sound directly from your microphone. You can use this option to record live sounds Irrespective of the choice you are making here, the process will be similar. It will follow these three steps like uploading, processing and sharing.
Submitting your Sound to a SoundCloud Group
When you join a group, you automatically become part of that community. Means, your tracks can be listed there in the group’s track list. Notice the word “can be” in the previous paragraph. This means, as a member you can submit your sounds to the group, moderator of the group will listen, approve your sound and then it will be posted for other members. For this, you need to go to your sound, click on the icon / button “Add to group”. These products will show you the list of groups you are member of, and you can submit your sound to one of them. And these ideas will help you much to buy SoundCloud plays.
